CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant JGS Lifecare at Wernick Adult Day Health Care
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm
Status: 37.5 hours per week

We are currently seeking a CNA to work at our Wernick Adult Day Health Care Center.
Position Summary: As a member of our nursing team, the CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant will work as part of a nursing team directly responsible for providing high quality care to our residents while being a constant companion striving to protect, nurture and sustain the resident in a competent, caring and kind manner. In addition to providing high quality care, as a CNA you are also responsible for resident safety and the delivery of all services and tasks under the resident care plan.

What're your primary responsibilities as a CNA?
- Under the supervision of ED and/or clinical coordinator/wellness nurse performs participant care in accordance with the participant's program plan and personal plan.
- Provides assistance with ADL skills as needed.
- Assists staff and participants in program activities as needed.
- Effectively communicates with participants and families.
- Notifies appropriate supervisor of any changes in condition or concerns.
- Other duties as deemed necessary/appropriate and as assigned.
- Determine Resident's needs
- Provides Residents with outstanding care (customer service)
- Assist Residents with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, personal care, toileting, meals/feeding, etc.
- Assists Residents with going short distances around the building
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older and has at least a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must possess a current, unencumbered, Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA); or has demonstrated competence through satisfactory participation in a relevant health care training or competency evaluation program. Said training or competency evaluation program must teach students nursing and nursing related skills including at a minimum the skills identified at 105 CMR 158.033 (F) (1)(b).
- Ability to move throughout workday and perform physical activities, including sitting, standing, bending, twisting, stooping and lifting/moving/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs with assistance.
- Provides delegated nursing or nursing related services to participants in a program as described at 105 CMR 158.033(F).
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm and willingness to handle difficult participants.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Basic knowledge of computer systems, applications and other office equipment.
- Ability to interact effectively with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, the general public and other staff members
