Jumpstart is an early learning program to help preschool children in low-income communities become prepared for educational achievement. UCLA undergraduates work as Corps Members at preschools in this program.Jumpstart is a national early education organization that recruits and trains college students and community volunteers to work with preschool children in low-income neighborhoods. The Co-Senior Site Manager is a full-year contract position based at the UCLA campus, housed within the Volunteer Center, and apart of the First Year Experience team. The primary responsibility of the Jumpstart Co-Senior Site Manager is to manage the day-to-day operations of the Jumpstart program on university campuses supporting Jumpstart's super-site model. This position directly drives Jumpstart's school success outcomes and ensures that both Jumpstart Quality Standards and grant requirements are met. The Sr. SM manages at least one Site Manager, and supports Jumpstart national and regional initiatives including participating on project development teams, composing grants and managing community partnerships. Within Jumpstart a Senior Site Manager is provided opportunities for professional development and growth. Professional development opportunities include (but are not limited to): training, facilitation of training, and field feedback. The Co-Senior Site Manager will report directly to the Associate Director, Academics & FYE with support from a Jumpstart Director of Affiliate Programming.

2+ years experience in program and project management. (Required) 2+ years experience in staff supervision and training; ability to provide verbal and written feedback. (Required) Background or experience in an early childhood setting; Jumpstart experience preferred. (Preferred) Experience developing partnerships with other organizations/entities. (Required) Strong organizational, management and leadership abilities. (Required)Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with university staff and the general community. (Required)Ability to prioritize and multi-task in order to meet key tasks as scheduled. (Required)Demonstrated ability to use basic and some advanced functions of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook), the Internet and web-based forms. (Required)Ability to comprehend and manage basic fiscal matters such as budgets. (Required)Ability to communicate professionally one-to-one or on a group basis for the purpose of disseminating information to the public and explaining program information. (Required)Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and distinctly using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and convey information to individuals at various organizational levels. (Required)Ability to make decisions based on established guidelines or policies. (Required)Demonstrated skill in supervising employees including delegating responsibility, training and evaluating performance.
