CMTI EMT Program Educator/Lab Instructor
The EMT Program Educator/Lab Instructor assist with the instruction of EMS courses for Comprehensive Medical Teaching Institute (CMTI) Accredited EMT Programs. The EMT Program Educator/Lab Instructor assists Instructor/Coordinators with lectures and lab task. This position reports to CMTI Program Director and Director of Operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with instruction for the didactic, psychomotor and all lab programs relating to all CMTI accredited EMT programs operating throughout Massachusetts.
- Prepares and delivers instruction with supervision from CMTI Program Director or Instructor/Coordinator.
- Supervises activities of EMT students during instructional time.
- Evaluates students’ performance and provides feedback to CMTI Program Director or Instructor/Coordinator.
- Conducts case review sessions in the Sim Lab, classroom, or off-site.
- Operates program AV equipment and SIM Lab.
- Participates in professional development programs at CMTI.
- Attends staff meetings as needed at CMTI locations
- Adheres to CMTI policies and guidelines
- Additional Miscellaneous job duties can be assigned by CMTI Program Director, Director of Operations or Instructor Coordinator.
Knowledge/Education:
High School Graduate, Massachusetts EMT or Paramedic certifications, Must be certified and in good standing with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Service. Massachusetts EMT Instructor/Coordinator License preferred, but not required. CMTI willing to send selected candidates to I/C program after one year of successful employment.
License, Registration, Certification requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and be State and Nationally certified as and EMT, AEMT or Paramedic.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Experience as an EMS Educator, FTO, or other relevant EMS experience. Approval will be on a case-by-case basis following a review of all submitted documents to CMTI.
Experience with EMS education standards or approved Instructor for, CPR, PHTLS, AMLS, is preferred but not required.

This is an hourly position and pay is based off candidates EMS teaching experience/background.
