CAD Technician - W.W. Clyde

POSITION: CAD Technician – Machine Control Development, 3D BIM/VDC Coordination, Construction Survey Support

LOCATION: Orem, UT

JOB SUMMARY: Prepare construction survey models for field staking and machine control guidance. Prepare and coordinate Building Information Models (BIM). Process as-built information and maintain a full project lifecycle model.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and organize project plans and specifications.
• Prepare project site models for utility staking and earthwork grading.
• Communicate site models with project teams and field technicians.
• Develop 3D models for clash coordination.
• Maintain record keeping of site design changes.
• Support other department personnel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Experience in modeling software is preferred but not required. We will train ideal candidates.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong plan sheet and specification interpretation.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
• Great organizational skills.
• Skilled in assuming responsibility and reaching deadlines.
• Understanding of 3D modeling in Construction
• Familiarity / Proficiency with the following software or internet based programs: Trimble Business Center, Sketchup, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Navis, BlueBeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook,
