Buyer - Electronic Components - FPC Huntsville

The Buyer is responsible for purchasing electronic components and ensuring that the parts purchased are at competitive market prices. Works with suppliers to expedite, cancel or defer materials and dictated by charges in internal and external customer requirements to meet production and inventory objectives.

·Buying and purchasing specific commodities for company products

·Negotiating with vendors/supplier, both domestic and global, and focusing on cost-savings

·Developing cost analysis w/ suppliers

·Researching commodity markets for new sourcing development

·Working with Quality and Engineering departments daily on new product development and what will be needed with new products

·Working with the Materials Planners on inventory levels

Requirements:

·Purchasing experience within the electronics industry

·Strong negotiation skills

·Bachelor's degree is strongly desired

·Strong in Excel and inventory control
