Job Description

The Business Systems Analyst will be a critical contributor to enhancing operational efficiency by analyzing and restructuring business systems and processes. The role requires a strategic mindset to optimize resource utilization, reduce waste, and support key business objectives.

In this position, you will work closely with team members at all levels, providing actionable feedback and implementing process improvements that drive sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and analytical skills, a deep understanding of business workflows, and the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable IT requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyze and optimize business processes to enhance efficiency and output.
• Develop strategies to restructure current systems and address inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Advise on resource allocation to maximize profitability and minimize waste.
• Conduct follow-ups on implemented changes to ensure success and identify areas for further improvement.
• Address system-related concerns and clearly communicate the benefits and trade-offs of proposed changes.
• Create detailed system process specifications to support IT implementations.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into IT system requirements.

Required Experience/Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with tools such as QlikSense, Alteryx, Databricks, QuickSight, Smartsheet, Jira, and AWS services (e.g., Dev Portal, SageMaker, Lambda).
• Strong project and program management experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze systems, allocate resources effectively, and improve business processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
• Functional understanding of software systems and foundational coding knowledge.
• Highly detail-oriented and organized.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in finance, sourcing, or procurement.
• Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with financial software and technology solutions.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
