Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Business Security Officer Manager for our premier financial services client in the banking industry. This is a direct hire hybrid role with our premier client located in Rosemont, IL.
This role is an AVP-level titled Manager position. The role is currently open due to growth within the company's BSO organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to double the size of the team and ensure management and continuous improvement and innovation of the corporate BSO program. This position will have a dotted line reporting structure to VP/Deputy CISO and Business Unit VP supporting several business offices throughout the Chicago area.
As Business Security Officer Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's physical security operations, including developing and implementing security policies, managing a team of Security Officers, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The primary goal will be to protect company assets and personnel from potential threats.
The ideal candidate will hold at least one of the following certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Security Manager (CSM), or Certified Threat Analyst (CTA).

What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
- Experience managing a corporate team of Business Security Officers (BSOs) and experience with dotted line reporting to the corporate Information Security team and Business Leader.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team of Business Security Officers. (hiring, career development, continuous education regarding the program, managing expectations and measuring program success)
- The ideal candidate will have experience in the financial services/banking industry with understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess security risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of security systems and technologies products and tools, including CCTV, access control systems, alarm systems etc.
- Proficiency in security regulations and compliance with requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- One or more of the following certifications: Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Security Manager (CSM), and Certified Threat Analyst (CTA).
What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities
Security Strategy Development:
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and prioritize security needs.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive security policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with company objectives.
- Regularly review and update security plans based on changing threats and industry best practices.
- Recruit, hire, and train Security Officers to ensure they are adequately qualified and equipped to perform their duties.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of security officers, providing ongoing feedback and coaching.
- Assign security officer shifts and responsibilities based on operational needs.
- Monitor security systems and surveillance cameras to detect potential security breaches.
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies, coordinating with local law enforcement as needed.
- Investigate security incidents, document findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations and industry standards.
- Generate regular security reports detailing incidents, trends, and security posture.
- Maintain detailed security documentation and records.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to address security concerns and integrate security measures into business operations.
- Maintain positive relationships with local law enforcement agencies.
- Communicate security policies and procedures to employees at all levels, promoting security awareness training.
