Position Overview: The Business Office Manager at Highlight Healthcare of Woodstock is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all administrative and financial functions of the facility. This individual will manage the business office operations, including billing, collections, accounts payable, and other financial duties. The Business Office Manager will work closely with the management team to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the business office, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely billing and collection processes.
- Manage resident trust accounts and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the management team.
- Coordinate with department heads to ensure alignment of financial and operational goals.
- Handle resident and family inquiries related to billing and financial matters.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business office management, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility setting.
- Strong knowledge of billing and collection processes, accounts payable and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to healthcare finance and resident trust accounts is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position.
- Primarily works in an office environment within the facility.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work to meet deadlines or address urgent issues.
