Make Your Mark:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst, Finance is responsible for leveraging data to provide actionable insights that drive financial performance and strategic decision-making. This role involves analyzing financial data, developing reports, and creating dashboards to support the finance team and other business units. The BI Analyst, Finance will work closely with finance leaders to understand their data needs and provide insights that enhance financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
You'll Get To:
- Financial Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to present data in a meaningful way.
- Data Management: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and cleansing. Manage financial data sources and maintain data documentation.
- Collaboration: Work with finance and cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions that support financial planning and analysis.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic initiatives and business projects.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in BI and financial data analytics. Recommend and implement improvements to BI processes and tools.
What You'll Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analysis, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with financial software, planning, and ERP systems (e.g. Netsuite, Adaptive, Workday, Salesforce) is preferred.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently. Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence (BI) concepts.
- Familiarity with system operations in a Corp FP&A setting (e.g. processing and refreshing forecasts, allocations, corp assumptions, uploading headcount, reporting and self-service capabilities, system change management, and user training)

Salary Range:
USD $103,000.00 - USD $129,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
