About the Job
The Business Development Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of growing the SaaS product line. The specialist will identify opportunities for business growth and optimize marketing strategies through networking with industry contacts and referrals.
- Develops and maintains long-term business relationships by serving as a subject matter expert, an internal advocate, and a client liaison.
- Collaborates with multiple departments within the organization to gather insight about potential clients, database needs, and product feedback to drive client success.
- Acquire expertise in Percheron’s products and services.
- Conduct market research and identify potential decision-makers to deliver value proposition statement and sales pitch.
- Cultivates relationships with new clients and maintain existing client relationships.
- Uncovers root cause of client problems, analyzes potential solutions and makes clear and informed recommendations.
- Manages client relationships, and help clients find creative uses and implementation for the services and/or products they purchase.
- Demonstrates excellent communication, organization, and time management skills while handling numerous diverse and complex problems.
- Maintains existing training materials and creates new training materials for clients.
- Participate in industry events and conferences to build relationships and explore new business opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or other related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ie., six (6) years of business development experience.
- A minimum of two (2) or more years of experience selling SaaS products in a B2B environment.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and achieving sales targets by negotiating and closing deals with clients and partners.
- Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate fully as a team player.
- Ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance as per work schedule agreed with manager (may require working an adjusted work schedule based on project assigned and work overtime if warranted).
- Ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations and Company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
