Business Development Representative
Schwenksville, PA
This is an on site role that requires 1 year of inside sales, cold calling experience
- Work closely and report day-to-day sales activities and strategy to the Business Development Manager
- Must have the ability to perform cold calling and acquire new clients based on monthly KPIs
- Collaborate with Business Development Manager to strategize sales meetings with key clients
- Must be able to drive the sales process with due diligence
- Develop strong relationships with key decision makers to gain valuable insight into client needs
- Expand and identify work opportunities with inactive existing client base
- Forecast and track outlook of active projects as a proactive approach for retained client opportunities
- Keep designated responsibility of CRM system up-to-date daily with notes, tasks, and call log information
- Comply with company Standard Operating Procedures, including but not limited to, marketing and branding guidelines
- Communicate with company’s core principles of ethics and standards
- Manage client’s expectations and overall customer experience (CX)
- Network with the Chamber of Commerce, Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC), Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and other industry related networking resources
- Open and maintain customer accounts by recording account information
- Enter work orders for assigned accounts and maintain work orders up to date
- Analyze and complete customer work order reports
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent; or 1 year of previous sales/business development/customer service experience
- Excellent communicator with the ability to acquire new clients
- Ability to use social media as a tool to acquire new business
- Ability to perform client and project site visits
- This is an at office work position with some outside sales
- Ability to communicate both verbally and by writing in a professional, respectful, and knowledgeable manner
- Ability to prioritize tasks according to deadlines with urgency and complete them in a timely and professional manner
- Ability to create, edit, and analyze Excel spreadsheets, Word documents, PDF files
- Ability to create, navigate, search, and update Trotter’s systems
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
