About the role:
WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Business Development Manager - MV Drives, Starters and Systems to join our team. This role is responsible for the sales activities related to the Medium/High Voltage Automation business, including Drives, Soft Starters, and other attached equipment as required. This position will be responsible for the definition and development of key markets, channels, and customers to grow the MV/HV Automation business in a defined region to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals. This position is located in the gulf coast region (Houston, TX is preferred) and collaborates with various WEG selling teams in order to maximize growth and leverage the internal organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generate sales leads, develops sales channels, and makes technical presentations.
- Collaborate with and support entire WEG Sales teams to promote and achieve specification position for WEG MV/HV Automation products.
- Collaboratively problem-solve to achieve successful project references and continue to strengthen WEG’s market reputation.
- Assure that sales and profit-related goals are met.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
Knowledge / training:
- Demonstrates breadth and depth of knowledge of customer needs and market trends
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in document, mathematical, or diagram form
- Technical proficiency related to VFDs and associated equipment (PDC, Switchgear, etc)
- Existing Network with End User/EPC in the Gulf Coast Market
- Ability to lead cross-cultural / cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience:
- 5-10+ years of relevant business experience in Gulf Coast (USA Market; Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana).
- 5-10+ year of product and industry know-how related to MV/HV VFDs and Systems.
