Sales Representative--New Business Development--B2B Sales
PRIMARY ROLE:
Sell business services using a consultative sales method to qualified prospects and focused on ensuring continued profitable company growth, according to specific goals.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
Develop and implement an approved sales business plan, based on company sales goals. Meet annual sales goals and activity standards.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated, measurable business to business sales success.
- Prior experience prospecting, qualifying, persuading, and closing the B2B sale of a product or service is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
- Understanding of prospecting software tools is desirable.
- Connections to business owners or C-Level executives of businesses between 50 and 500 employees is plus.
- Strong desire to succeed and win.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher level degree is preferred.
DUTIES:
- Actively contact prospects, schedule appointments, make sales presentations, and close on new business accounts.
- Maintain prospect list in agency CRM system.
- Cooperate in gathering information on assigned accounts for renewal marketing and handling per company procedures.
- Attend sales seminars, company sales meetings, or educational activities needed to improve sales techniques and stay up-to-date on the latest developments in the marketplace.
- Participate in/direct any special projects at management’s request.
- Prospecting targets will consist of businesses in certain specialties with proposal sizes ranging between $25,000 to $250,000.
Compensation
- Base Salary: Commensurate with experience
- Commission: Percentage of revenue generated for the company
