About us:
CBRE is seeking a motivated and experienced business development professional to take a leadership role in developing opportunities for CBRE Renewables’ Transferable Tax Credit Advisory team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the transferable tax credit marketplace and the ability to effectively cultivate relationships within Tax and Sustainability departments at medium to large corporate accounts.
The CBRE Renewables team has a start-up like culture that requires innovation and agility from all of its team members. This role is for an individual who is passionate about growing and innovating within the renewable energy marketplace.
What you'll do:
· Lead Business Development Efforts: Spearhead business development efforts for Transferable Tax Credit Advisory, developing and executing on your own book of business.
· Manage and Grow Relationships and Pipeline: Establish and enhance relationships with key prospective customers by implementing tailored approaches to their transferable tax credit procurement programs.
· Act as an Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, guiding them through the process from initial discussions to tax credit purchase execution and beyond.
· Innovate: Utilize market feedback to inform the development of new products and services related to transferable tax credits.
· Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the CBRE Renewables team to create informative collateral, participate in industry conferences, and contribute to initiatives that further establish CBRE as a leader in the field.
· Process and Reporting: Implement and optimize process where needed. Regular internal reporting on progress, key milestones achieved, status, and clear next steps will be critical.
What you'll need:
· Proven experience and knowledge of renewable energy tax credits.
· In-depth understanding of regulations pertaining to tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act.
· Exceptional ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships particularly with key decision makers and stakeholders within an organization.
· Can thrive in a fast-paced environment while being exceptionally organized
· Strong analytical skills with excellent communication, negotiation and solution selling skills (directly tailored to customer needs) up to executive levels.
· Transactional experience preferred but not a critical requirement.
· 7+ years of work experience in a professional/corporate environment
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $160,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $200,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
