As a Business Analyst on our Technology Services team, your problem-solving skills are a must.Your ability to analyze, document and provide creative solutions to business and technology problems will contribute to the technological development and direction of Plante Moran. We are looking for a Business Analyst to contribute talent, expertise, and leadership in planning, design, development, configuration, and launch of technology-based solutions, as well as to help seed and grow the UX (User Experience) skills on our team. The position requires knowledge and abilities in information technology, system configuration, systems integration, business processes, analysis, problem solving, agile processes, communication, and user experience activities such as conducting user research, usability testing, and creating user personas.
The role includes analysis of complete processes to identify and select opportunities to make significant improvements. Additionally, the role is responsible for designing new applications, integrating systems, conducting user experience research, and providing sound advice and support on the best use of system capabilities to enhance user satisfaction and engagement. The role contributes to the standards and methodologies business process improvement.
Your role.Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Act as liaison between the client, development/project team and third parties regarding the design, build and delivery of a solution throughout the project and/or application development lifecycle.

Work cross-functionally with Project Managers, Solution Architects, Application Developers and Network Engineers to analyze, document, and propose technical and business solutions.

Elucidate, collect, understand, and document business requirements for projects and translate into objectives and measurable deliverables.

Analyze areas for improvement in internal processes documenting business issues, user interfaces and support systems to increase staff productivity, performance effectiveness, and work-flow efficiency.

Design and execute the test scenarios and test scripts, including the coordination of project and user staff in the execution of the test plan.

Where feasible, utilize user experience methods to accomplish the tasks above.

Conduct user experience research to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivations through methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, iteration on designs, and observation.

Collaborate with business partners to create user personas, journey maps, interactive prototypes, and wireframes based on research findings.

Translate design concepts into functional, clickable mockups to test and validate user experiences.

Analyze and synthesize research data to provide actionable insights and recommendations for improving user experience.

Advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that user needs are considered in all stages of design and development, while helping to build user experience skills across your peers on the team.

Conduct Dev review and UAT session with project stakeholder teams.

Take personal responsibility for the outcomes of your work; follow through on commitments to others; see things through to completion. Must be self-directed and able to manage your schedule with minimal oversight. The qualifications.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance/Accounting, or related degree required.

5+ years of experience in various aspects of the SDLC required.

Experience with Agile ways of working, including backlog refinement, creation of user stories and working with Scrum teams.

Technical experience and knowledge of the application development life cycle, including methods for requirements definition and an understanding of testing phases.

Experience designing and executing user research, including qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Experience with UX design principles and user-centered design processes.

Experience with UX tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure RP, and Balsamiq.

Solid time management, decision making, presentation and organizational skills.

Projects may be agile or waterfall, so a flexibility in approach from project to project will be important.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.

Ability to present ideas and solutions in business-friendly and user-friendly language. Our difference. We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. These standard offerings are effective on the first of the month following your start date. In addition to this, eligible staff are able to take advantage of our Flexible Time Off and various pre-determined holidays as well as a 401(k) plan, flexible benefits plans, business-related travel expense, lodging and meal reimbursement for business-related use. A Pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers Interns and Contractors the option to elect health insurance under our contingent staff medical plan as of the 1st of the month following 60 days of employment in addition to limited paid time sick time. Seasonal staff are not eligible for benefits.


Compensation is commensurate with technical skills and experience is provided in accordance with applicable state requirement. Compensation information posted is based on a position being located in the state of CO or IL. Please review theposition location for theapplicable geographic location.
