Builder's Risk Broker III - Construction & Infrastructure in multiple US locations
Builder’s Risk Broker is responsible for assessing client needs, preparation of market submissions, negotiating with insurance carriers to obtain coverage that is in a client’s best interests. This position will be a collaborative effort with Account Executives, Originators, Account Specialists within Construction & Infrastructure and the overall Aon Risk platform.

What the day will look like
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions within Aon Construction & Infrastructure. Focused on delivering client value and satisfaction virtually and efficiently, this Broker role is will involve broking Builders Risk/Construction Property risk for medium and large clients across the United States and Globally.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivating relationships – Retains and grows Aon’s business.
- Account Profitability – Ensures overall account profitability with a value based approach for the scope of service and costs associated with the client.
- Aon Leadership Model – Understands and works in alignment with the leadership and its pillars of client value, unmatched teams, innovation, results and values.
- Renewal Process – virtually drives the renewal process, developing and implementing the client specific renewal strategy
- Through service, pricing, consultation and reporting, promotes the value Aon delivers to clients
- Responsible for commission management on brokered products, including utilization of the Commission Grid and other Aon broking levers
- Consistent use of Aon’s tools to drive efficiency
- Learning to build, expand, and solidify relationships with existing clients at senior levels within the company and to lead appropriate resources to address the client's risk/capital management needs and thereby retain and grow a profitable book of business.
- Thought Leadership – contributing builders risk technical and market knowledge and experience with clients and colleagues – through writings and presentation.
Required Experience:
- 7-10 years’ experience with Broking or Underwriting, preferably within P&C. Experience with financial lines would be a plus.
- Experience working with commercial clients is preferable.
- Ability to build strong relationship with both internal and external clients.
- Manages input to and follow-up on invoicing and receivables process for assigned clients, ensuring timely collections.
- Ensures that account data supports the integrity of company accounting and tracking systems.
- Manages expenses.
- Ensures operational excellence, including adherence to service management requirements (e.g., Transparency & Disclosure, Aon Compliance requirements, Client Promise Methodology).
- Uses Aon tools and implements processes
- Pro-actively develops knowledge of sister Aon companies and seeks to identify and develop relevant cross sales opportunities.
- Comfortable with learning new technologies
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- CPCU/CIC is a plus

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $142,000 to $290,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
