About the Job
- Provides training to new line cooks.
- Responsible for help maintaining cooler/freezer/dry storage organization, FIFO, and quality control of food/prep items.
- Ensuring accuracy and execution of Prep/Par sheet on a weekly basis.
- Ensures execution of deep cleaning list/schedule for kitchen.
- Ensures closing duties are completed and checklist is being followed.
- Can perform all positions in the kitchen.
- Helps maintain balance of labor making cuts as needed.
- Responsible for placing orders with suppliers as needed.
- Maintains a clean work environment.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Notifies Chef of any menu item counts/shortages and/or helps to adjust the count (i.e. preps more, store run, etc.)
- Upholds our standard of service (food quality, plating, expediting).
- Notifies Chef of any issues related to food, service, and personnel immediately.
- Responsible for ensuring that closing/portering are done correctly and efficiently.
