Our client provides services to state departments of transportation, federal agencies, local and municipal governments.
We are currently seeking a structural engineer for a Bridge Inspection Team Leader position to work on numerous bridge inspection projects that include biennial and condition inspections for small and large scale bridge structures.
Bridge Inspection Team Leader position
Responsibilities:
- Lead inspection team and coordinate teams and equipment
- Prepare in-office support for field inspections, such as development of inspection documentation forms prior to field work
- Perform field measurements, evaluate existing conditions and document findings in the field
- Analysis of data obtained in the field
- Writing the technical inspection reports
- Preparation of analysis and ratings for the structure in question
- Perform calculations including ratings
- Development of recommended construction documents for repairs of field conditions requiring interim repair (i.e. flagged conditions)
Requirements:
- CT or NY PE License
- 2-week NHI Bridge Safety Inspection Course (Required)
- Bachelor's in Civil Engineering
- (5) five years of bridge inspection experience
- FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Certification
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Driver's License
- Overnight travel at 50%, all expenses paid
