Are you ready to help create more brand awareness and work in retail stores such as Target and AT&T for brands like Apple? Our tech-savvy Brand Advocates will visit stores within a defined market and ensure display presentations are set up to brand standards and working properly.
The Brand Advocate reports directly to the District Manager and is expected to maintain open lines of communication to ensure a steady flow of information and the timely completion of required initiatives in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Important Information
Responsibilities:
- Work as in-store/onsite brand advocate and ambassador.
- Build positive and professional relationships with store personnel by educating them on your role, the products, and display presentation.
- Maintain seamless communication with clients and all other stakeholders involved in the program.
- Review store fixtures and products compared to defined planograms and other standards and adjust as necessary.
- Review store graphics, signs, and price labels to ensure all are correct and in correct positions.
- Check all demo devices to ensure all are working properly. Update software on devices if needed.
- Ensure the security systems on demo devices are working properly. Troubleshoot and adjust if possible.
- Ensure successful completion of other related tasks assigned.
- Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping.
- Coach/train all levels of field personnel, including on-the-job training for team member certifications and career progression.
- Ensure project documents are complete, current, and distributed appropriately. Plan projects, develop and organize all information and reporting.
- Demonstrate good judgment and reasoning in investigating and solving problems associated with meeting company objectives for areas and accounts assigned.
- Demonstrate good judgment regarding escalating issues that are beyond the scope and control of this position in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate good judgment in respecting the confidentiality of customer and company information.
- Seek guidance and direction from appropriate members within the organization or from other outside sources as may be required in the performance of responsibilities and duties.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in onsite field operations retail services companies.
- 5+ years of experience in reading planograms/blueprints.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience merchandising in big box retailers
- Education: High school diploma/GED equivalent is strongly preferred. Proven educational development beyond high school in areas of business management and/or project administration in a retail setting is also strongly preferred. Education requirements may be waived in lieu of proven on-the-job experience.
- Great written and oral communication skills—people skills are critical. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization and across functional teams.
- Ability to follow instructions and diagrams, such as Plan-O-Grams, RIGs, training videos, and blueprints.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and execute with limited or no supervision.
- Good computer skills (including Excel, Word, Access, and Outlook are required).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to use hand tools and most power tools (with basic construction knowledge preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and has reliable transportation to get to work locations on time.
- Possess exceptional time-management skills, assuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- May be required to work extended hours as needed to meet project/customer demands.
- Read, respond, and act daily on all emails received.
- Review schedule weekly and immediately reports any scheduling conflicts to field management personnel.
- Work in retail and/or office environments requiring employees to always maintain a clean and neat appearance with presentable clothing (as stated in the Employee Handbook). Ability to travel up to 90% of the time.
- Ability to work day and night shifts. Potential in-state or tri-state travel.
- May require repetitive bending, standing, and walking extended lengths and may require you to pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must have experience with installing intricate and technical security devices. Assembly, arming and disarming devices will be required.
