Are you a versatile team player with a “can do” attitude and the ability to roll up your sleeves and dive in? If so, our client is looking for a Bookkeeper. Seeking someone to handle day-to-day entry of transactions for AP, AR and cash receipts.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day accounting operation transactions
- Recording transactions for AP vouchers and payments
- Recording transaction for AR payments and invoices
- Reconcile AP and AR
- Prepare main account bank reconciliations on a monthly basis. Ensure all cash transactions are properly and timely recorded, and verify that general ledger agrees with bank balances.
- Reconciles the general operating account and enters the cash journals into the General Ledger.
- Assist with monthly preparation of financial reports and financial statements under the guidance of senior level accounting personnel.
- Act as a resource during the annual audit by providing supporting documentation as requested.
- Administrative tasks include filing, answering phones, and directing staff to client locations.
- Processing purchase orders.
- Support sales staff by communicating with vendors and order tracking.
- Perform special projects, such as the company’s new eCommerce initiative, to assist the department and the Company in achieving its goals and objectives.
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in Cash Basis Accounting.
- Proficient in Quickbooks Desktop (REQUIRED).
- Experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to support client requests.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Effective time management skills, self- motivated, critical attention to detail.
