Job Details
As a Consulting Bookkeeper, your responsibilities will be:
1. Managing and processing payroll filings, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
2. Utilizing QuickBooks desktop and online to maintain financial records, process transactions, and generate financial reports.
3. Carrying out billing activities, including preparing invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
4. Performing administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing financial documents.
5. Using Lacerte Tax Software to prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
6. Making collection calls to recover outstanding payments, maintaining professionalism and respect at all times.
7. Analyzing financial data and preparing reports to help clients make informed business decisions.
8. Providing expert advice to clients on financial management, helping them to improve profitability and efficiency.
9. Collaborating with team members and clients to identify and resolve financial issues.
10. Staying up-to-date with the latest financial regulations and technologies to provide the best service to our clients.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
2. Extensive experience with payroll filings, QuickBooks (desktop and online), billing, copying, scanning, Lacerte Tax Software, and collection calls.
3. A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. A professional certification such as a Certified Bookkeeper (CB) is preferred.
4. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
5. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in clear and understandable terms.
6. Good organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
7. A high level of integrity and discretion, as you will be handling sensitive financial information.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial analysis and reporting.
9. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of finance.
