About the Job
Our client, a successful and growing Auto Hail Repair Company, is looking for a Production Manager. This isn't your traditional body shop, it's a tight knit team and they're looking to add another strong leader who will help drive important decision-making and manage key staff. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing estimating and repair operations at our business. You will be accountable for effectively guiding the paintless dent repair workflow and service advisor teams to generate high quality estimates, repairs and a high level of customer satisfaction. The Production manager will lead the day-to-day work activities and establish processes to ensure high standards of quality and productivity are met.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shop activities, including scheduling and assigning work to staff, providing estimates and coaching service advisor staff
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Lead an established team of professionals in a Customer/Employee Satisfaction Driven environment to accomplish departmental goals.
- Manage the operating budget and expenses related to the repairs performed by the body shop.
- Ensure that every employee is focused on providing exceptional customer service.
- Ensure an ongoing strong understanding and application of insurance partner guidelines.
- Hold daily Production Meetings with all team members.
- Supervise parts procurement and supplement process.
- Monitor sublets and production scheduling.
- Monitor several key indicators, including repair cycle time, average repair estimate revenue, supplement revenue, and approval time
- Coordinate and collaborate with our strategic partners, including insurance company representatives, fleet companies, and retail customers
- Obtain approvals as required to ensure prompt payment from insurance customers and retail customers.
Requirements:
- High school or college, automotive body repair diploma or certificate preferred
- Experience as a Body Shop Manager or a similar role
- Proven experience in maximizing efficiency and implementing systems and processes to ensure predictable results
- A complete understanding of the day-to-day auto body repair duties, roles, and responsibilities of staff
- Familiarity with insurance repair procedures and guidelines
- Proficiency with MS Office applications and collision softwares:
- Proficiency with CCC and Mitchell are required
- Mobile Tech RX experience is preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment, R&I, and repair related issues
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machinery effectively
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
