Job Title: Blow Molding Department Manager

Reports To: Operations Manager / Plant Manager
Job Summary:
The Blow Molding Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the blow molding department, creating a safe work culture, ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing machine uptime and maintaining high-quality standards. This hands-on role involves managing a small team of operators and technicians, troubleshooting and repair of equipment, adherence to production schedules, implementation of capital projects, and creation of a preventive maintenance program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blow molding technology, equipment reliability and maintenance, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Department Leadership:
- Lead and manage the blow molding department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of operators, technicians, and other staff members.
- Production Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
- Troubleshoot production issues, including equipment malfunctions, material defects, and process deviations, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead maintenance teams to ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all products meet or exceed quality standards and specifications.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety within the department, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and manage waste reduction initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in blow molding or a similar manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of blow molding processes, equipment, and materials.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems (preferred).
