Our Healthcare client in Dorchester, MA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate claim submissions, and working collaboratively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate timely reimbursement.
Requirements:
- Updated physical exam or willingness to obtain.
- Up-to-date vaccinations, including TB and COVID-19 vaccination (or willingness to wear a mask as an alternative).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree highly required
- 3+ years Full Cycle Billing experience
- Month End Close, Account Reconciliation, High Volume Medical Billing experience required
- MS office, Advanced Excel, Dentrix, Antena or related EHR system required
- Fluent in English and either Spanish or Haitian Creole
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and submit claims to insurance companies accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and rejections.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients.
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
- Follow up on unpaid or underpaid claims with insurance companies and patients.
- Maintain and update patient billing records, ensuring all information is accurate and secure.
- Stay updated on insurance policies, coding changes, and compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing inquiries and payment plan
