Billing & Revenue Accounting Analyst – Boston, MA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing and Revenue Operations Specialist to join a successful publicly traded SaaS company located in Boston, MA. In this role, you will ensure accurate billing, maintain high-value transactions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support revenue operations. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient with Salesforce.

This is a 2.5-month contract opportunity (through the end of the year), paying between $65 - $80/hour depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review contract amendments and subscriptions to ensure precise customer billing
• Generate and process high-value transactions, such as usage-based invoices
• Confirm customer billing terms and implement them accurately
• Provide guidance and support to internal teams by maintaining thorough knowledge of billing processes
• Resolve ticket inquiries with various billing-related issues
• Assist with month, quarter, and year-end close cycles by providing accurate data
• Collaborate with the Revenue Accounting team to address revenue recognition concerns for non-standard deal structures
• Partner with the Legal Team to document non-standard terms and mitigate legal risks
• Provide advice and insights to cross-functional teams, including Sales Ops, Legal, Billing, Finance, Risk, and Systems

• 5+ years of AR and Revenue Accounting experience within SaaS
• Experience supporting and testing billing system improvements
• Ability to develop and follow detailed process documents
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, Index Match, Sum If)
• Familiarity with a CRM system (Salesforce CRM, CPQ, and CLM software preferred)
• Understanding of ASC 606 and legal contract review
