The Role
Manage all aspects of billing, including third-party payers, Ritecare products, and Rhode Island Medicaid. Reconcile payments and research and resolve denials. Provide feedback to administrative staff regarding billing issues and process improvements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Update and maintain all aspects of the billing systems. Ensure that information is always up to date and accurate.
- Create invoices relating to contracted services.
- Track unbillable services.
- Work in a team environment, collaborating with managers to help with overall program organization to ensure an efficient and effective program while supporting the agency’s goals and objectives.
- Responsible for performing other duties and job assignments as requested by the Billing Manager.
Experience and Skills
- High School degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Knowledge of medical billing is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Internal/External Relationships
Internal: Frequently – Early Intervention staff and other agency staff.
External: Frequently – Insurance Companies, EOHHS and HP.
Working Conditions
Basic office conditions. Computer operations.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Must maintain confidentiality, prioritize work to meet goals and deadlines, and manage multiple tasks. Should be skilled with computer software, highly organized and detail-oriented, and able to complete assignments. Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships with employees, individuals served, families, and related professionals. Should be able to deal with direct contact with individuals served if needed.
