Job Details:
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and proactive Office Assistant to join our team in the construction industry. This full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to our dynamic and growing organization. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounts payable, payroll, and must be bilingual. This role requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position and offers a competitive compensation package.

Responsibilities:

Assist in managing all aspects of accounts payable, including processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and executing payment runs.
Handle payroll duties, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner, both in English and a second language.
Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
Support the administration team with general office duties such as answering phones, filing, and ordering supplies.
Assist in the preparation of regular financial reports, including monthly and annual accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned, such as assisting with project coordination and participating in team meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong experience in accounts payable and payroll is a must.
Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work to tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively liaise with team members and external partners.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field would be an asset.
