Brodesser Surgery Center; AMI at Cooper, Miracles Fitness and numerous freestanding outpatient facilities providing wound care, lab, and physical therapy services. The benefits specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability plan, 403(b), and 401(K).
- Coordinates administration of Benefit Plan for all employees
- Responsible for overall administration of on-line Benefits Enrollment platform.
- Conducts new-hire orientations to benefit eligible employees.
- Monitors benefit eligibility based on employment status and/or life event changes.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
- Communicates all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from leaders and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Supports the processes of all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Responds to 403(b) and 401(k) inquiries from leaders and employees relating to enrollments and contribution amounts.
- Assists with the open enrollment process.
- Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges and responsible for processing monthly health and welfare bills.
Experience Required
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Education Requirements
- Associate’s degree in HR or related field, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for the education.
- Two years’ experience in HR and/or benefits administration.
