Korn Ferry's Benefits practice is seeking an actuarial analyst to assist with the review and analysis of Medicare and Medicaid health insurance rates. The analyst will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced actuaries and team members to deliver exceptional results to clients. The position is remote and requires the ability to work both collaboratively and individually. This role is for candidates who have passed at least one actuarial exam.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review Medicare Advantage and/or Part D bid pricing for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services.
- Review Medicaid rate-setting methodologies for reasonableness and compliance with federal regulations.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends and areas of potential concern or improvement.
- Document, summarize, and communicate information and results for clients and team members.
- Deliver high quality work that meets expectations for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated expertise in mathematics or other technical discipline.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel including a variety of Excel functions such as sumproduct, vlookup, and pivot tables.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in attention to detail and highly organized.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver work under time pressure, while working in both a team environment and individually, maintaining flexibility and adaptability.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one actuarial exam pass is required.
