Part Time (Monday-Friday)
Pay range: $26.75/hour
Are you passionate about pets and have an interest in pursuing a career saving lives? We are seeking a Benefits Administrator looking to impact the community to come join our team at the world-renowned Helen Woodward Animal Center!
The Benefits Administrator will assist with the maintenance and communication for all Center-related benefits. The Benefits Administrator will track all movement within the 403(b) as an internal audit, and liaise with the auditors during plan audit. Among the duties of the Benefits Administrator, you will be asked to:
- Assist with benefits presentation as needed.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
- Assist employees regarding retirement related issues.
- Respond to 403(b) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes, contribution amounts and other general inquiries.
- Assist with the open enrollment process.
- Assist with administration of the 403(b)plan
- Respond to benefits inquiries from managers and employees regarding enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Schedule or generate reports on demand at the plan or participant level
- Responsible for day-to-day 403(b) benefits support activities, including, but not limited to: assisting employees with questions and resolution of retirement benefits matters, processing participant enrollments, changes, and terminations, and completing periodic compliance reports.
- Coordinate enrollment activities for benefits programs, such as preparing census data, compiling benefit materials, communicating logistics and deadlines to employees, and educating employees on plan designs and selections.
- Coordinate administration of 401(k)/403(b) plan, including but not limited to: enrollments, changes, terminations, complying with periodic disclosure requirements and assisting with other compliance tasks.
- Maintain effective system of communication/notification, and work jointly with payroll accountant to ensure any changes affecting employees (new hires, terminations, calculation of pay adjustments, benefit enrollments, etc.) are processed timely and accurately.
- Conducts or assists with record audits, mandatory reporting, and/or various retirement plan surveys which may include benefit surveys and other compliance reviews.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in employee benefits or human resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to employee benefits, including the ACA
- Experience in Paycor or other HR data systems
Position may require occasional driving duties, must possess valid Driver's License and provide recent DMV Driving Record.
