Benefit Enrollment Account Manager Overview: The Benefit Enrollment Account Manager will act as the primary point of contact between employers' HR teams and Benefit Managers to develop effective client relationships and achieve successful enrollments.
Benefit Enrollment Account Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review the initial enrollment strategy for our voluntary benefit plan and develop visually appealing presentations to facilitate maximum enrollment success.
- Conducts Enrollment/Implementation Calls with client and setting enrollment expectations throughout the enrollment process for New Business, Acquisitions and Renewals.
- Finalize enrollment strategy and sends communication to client for signature or acknowledgement of commitment.
- Communicates any challenges or roadblocks to the Enrollment Service Manager to allow for open discussion on any creative solutions to assist in the active enrollment phase.
- Lead all education of product with client's Management Staff including any additional webinars requested for line staff.
- Complete daily task lists to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met (document in the applicable database/software platform).
- Partner with the Team's Benefit Enrollment Coordinator in setting all travel arrangements for Contracted Benefit Counselors with our Travel Department if applicable.
- Partner with Team's Benefit Enrollment Coordinator in briefing Contracted Benefit Counselors on all enrollment details, including travel arrangements, if applicable.
- Monitor enrollment progress throughout the active enrollment, document all communication streams and enrollment numbers in the appropriate platform and communicate results on weekly calls.
- Maintaining a timeline of events and touchpoints with client on the process of implementing the new benefit from beginning to end.
- Creates a strategic presentation and conducts Post Enrollment Call with client to communicate the results of the enrollment and next steps.
- Partner with Team on keeping all applicable reports updated for the Executive Team Meetings.
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must be proactive and detail oriented.
- If required, travel to client sites and work within a variety of employer industries
- Must have strong Microsoft Excel Skills (pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting, v-lookups)
- Conflict resolutions skills
- Must possess strong customer orientation and focus
- Ability to take direction from senior managers as well as work independently and proactively
- Must maintain integrity, courtesy and respect while interacting with clients and co-workers
- Must be flexible and have the ability to adapt to changing situations
- Must have the ability to learn quickly and think creatively
- Must have Life and Health Insurance License
- Ability to work in a team environment
