Behavioral Health RN provides structure and maintains a safe therapeutic recovery oriented environment; uses the therapeutic relationship and counseling interventions to assist health care consumers in an inpatient setting which offers psychotherapy, group therapy, occupational and recreational therapy, mental health education, psychiatric case management, medication management, nursing care, and medical management.
You will provide direct patient care, focusing on completion of the nursing process including patient
Work Schedule: DAY shift: 7am to -7pm, OR 8am-4:30 pm Monday thru Friday
Responsibilities:
Education:
One year of medical-surgical or BH experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire.
Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
- Perform patient assessments, review client medications and monitor client and caregiver understanding
- Utilize a medical/psychosocial model to individualize care plans based on Physician orders for patients with depression/anxiety, or dementia
- Perform comprehensive behavioral health evaluations of mental status, mood and behavior
- Recognize and implement individual treatment plans
- writing and updating patient records
- encouraging patients to take part in therapeutic activities such as art and role play
Education:
