SUMMARY
Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons and provides responsible, friendly service to restaurant or bar customers and guests. Promotes and follows LJBTC, Inc.'s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follows all policies for the responsible service of alcohol.
- Delivers drinks to guests such as beer, wine and mixed drinks. Delivers appetizers and meals to guests if requested.
- Mixes ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
- Serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Provides complete bartending services, including mixed and frozen drinks.
- Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks.
- Prepares garnish as required.
- Replenishes bar snacks (i.e. chips, pretzels, and nuts) as required.
- Collects payment from guests, makes change, and records transactions on guest receipt. Obtains guest signature on room charges and credit vouchers.
- Informs customers of weekly and daily specials.
- Informs staff of unavailable items and bar specials.
- Organizes and stocks the bar. Ensures that adequate supply levels are maintained. Orders or requisitions liquors and supplies.
- Collects empty glassware off tables and is responsible for overall cleanliness in the bar.
- Attractively displays clean glasses and bottles.
- Ensures that the pour cost percentage established for the Shores are maintained.
- Takes orders from customers or Bar Servers.
- Completes closing procedures required by accounting department.
- Assures the bar & restaurant are secure at the end of the evening shift.
- Other duties may be assigned.
OUTCOME
Through his/her skills and personality, the bartender will not only ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for the patrons, but also plays a major role in liquor cost control.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English to customers, guests, visitors, members, or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense to unexpected situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have and maintain current Food Handlers Card and be RBS Certified.
