Job Title: Bartender
Reports To: General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Summary: A bartender is a person who serves beverages, behind a bar. A bartender’s work is to tend, mix and serves cocktails and other drinks, mainly alcoholic beverages to guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Selling of alcoholic drinks to guests.
- Serving guests.
- Record sales and takes payments from the guests.
- Keep the bar well stocked by maintaining the beer, wine, liquor, garnishes and glasses at the bar.
- Refuse to serve guests that have had too much to drink.
- Call taxi cabs for those that are inebriated.
- Keeping records of tabs so in the end they can know how much a guest has had and what is to be paid.
- Pour drinks quickly and as per the guest’s specifications.
- Keeps the bar clean.
- Pours and Dispenses Alcoholic Beverages to Legal age guests. Checks IDs of all guests that look 30 years or younger.
- Rotates and restocks bar coolers, with inventory from walk-in cooler. Restocks bar supplies, such as dry goods, all glassware, all juices, sodas, and garnishes.
- Reads and fills order from servers
- Greets guests in a friendly fashion, with world-class service in mind.
- Fulfills carryout orders for guests
- Cashier responsibilities.
- Performs all side duties as assigned
