About the Job
7OH2 Hospitality is seeking professional, skilled, and guest service-oriented Bartenders to join our dynamic hospitality group. As a dedicated team, we are eager to find individuals who are enthusiastic about being part of a truly innovative and special new concept, with an exciting group that is truly passionate about hospitality.
Our Server's basic job function is to serve each guest to their complete satisfaction while exceeding their expectations. Servers are responsible for positive interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years as a Bartender in a high-volume & fast-paced environment.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages, according to local & state laws.
- STRONG knowledge of spirits, wines, beers, & classic cocktails.
- Alcohol Awareness Certification (TIPS).
- Food Handler Certificate (ServSafe).
- Excellent communication & people skills.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance according to 7OH2 policy.
- Availability to work weekends & select holidays as needed.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, & safety.
- Patience
- Positive Attitude!!
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Attend all required meetings & training.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance & grooming, which include always wearing the proper uniform.
- Follow food safety & sanitary guidelines issued by the Health Department.
- Complete assigned side work in the allocated timeframe.
- Mixology skills.
- STRONG relationships in Downtown Detroit.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must possess excellent people and communication skills.
- Complete knowledge of all floorplans, table numbers, and stations.
- Complete knowledge of working on POS systems (TOAST).
- Complete knowledge & verbiage of our Brands.
- Anticipate guests' needs before they ask for something.
- Table maintenance.
- Reconciling tables final bill per company policy.
- Takes ownership of all work performed and communicated.
- Completes tasks (side work and other duties) on time or notifies the appropriate person with an alternate plan.
ORAL /WRITTEN COMMUNICATION:
- Practices attentive and active listening with fellow team members.
- Listens without interruption and gets clarification.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:
- Cash handling
- Responsible use while in possession of guests' credit cards.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Performing the physical demands of this position, associates are expected to observe and adhere to safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment.
Position is expected to:
- Stand & walk more than 80% of the time for up to and/or exceeding 6 hours.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Push/pull up to 30 pounds.
