BANK LOAN OPERATIONS MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY
The position is responsible for the overall management of loan operations, including oversight of processes and staff. The position requires leadership, training and supervision of the operations staff and ensuring that the department supports the lending team and services the bank's clients. The Loan Operations Manager will need to communicate with the other department managers/officers to promote efficient workflow and establish a positive working relationship across the organization.

BANK LOAN OPERATIONS MANAGER PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supervise all aspects of loan operations via the corresponding system's workflow process which includes the loan application, initial request, documentation collection, request of compliant loan documents, finalization of loan file and exception tracking.
- Adhere to all State and Federal Banking Regulations; research new regulations; suggest changes to policies and procedures and implement them as necessary; review loan documentation to determine compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
- Ensure workflow is efficient, timely and accurate during the end-to-end processing of loans by developing a strong understanding of the system capabilities to meet the needs of Availa Bank customers.
- Plan, organize and delegate workload among staff and create an environment where teamwork is encouraged through utilization of tools and reporting in the appropriate system.
- Assist the COO to ensure proper segregation of duties for all loan functions.
- Responsible for communicating policy and procedures to ensure loan assistants are provided with procedural changes and appropriate training.
- Communicate with lenders, attorneys, and other bank staff to assist with complex documentation requirements, including review of attorney prepared loan documents.
- Work closely with the Credit Department and Loan Servicing Manager to ensure all departments are in sync. Work together to update procedures on an as needed basis.
- Review various reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed basis.
BANK LOAN OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience.
- Minimum 3 years in the banking or lending environment, with experience in agricultural or commercial lending preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Working knowledge of loan policies and procedures
- Exceptional ability to understand new systems and utilize technology to function more effectively
- Excellent working knowledge of all lending documents
- Ability as a leader to coach employees through consistent communication and feedback Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees

- Be able to work flexible hours and shifts

- Travel to/from and work in multiple locations
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supervising staff in accordance with the bank's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and taking corrective action with employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
