Bacteriology Lab Technician at Onin Staffing

Onin Staffing is seeking a dedicated Bacteriology Lab Technician to join our team. In this role, you will ensure compliance with company guidelines while maintaining a high degree of quality and efficiency in processing and analyzing samples collected from farms. You will work under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Lead Technician or designee.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all program procedures as outlined by company guidelines.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies to prevent work delays.
• Process and analyze samples accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare media and solutions as required.
• Enter sample data and results into the data management system.
• Work weekend rotations as needed.
• Uphold the quality of work and the integrity of the products produced.
• Comply with company policies regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO standards, and drug/alcohol policies.
• Implement controls to protect sample integrity from contamination, loss, or damage.
• Maintain regular attendance as scheduled by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous laboratory experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills, including document and spreadsheet creation.
• Ability to communicate effectively via email.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing testing needs as directed by supervisors or veterinarians.
