Vaco is looking for a talented and experienced Data Developer to join a local client as they build out their data and reporting capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining impactful and visually appealing business intelligence solutions using Power BI, SSRS, and other related platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, then create data models, integrate data from various sources, and deliver insightful reports and dashboards. We are looking for someone that can create structure and organization around the data environment and is interested in solving these challenges. Core position responsibilities:

Work closely with IT and Business Partners to understand business requirements in BI context and convert data into useful insights. Proven experience providing recommendations to IT and Business Partners on BI features, creating executive level dashboards, assessing existing dashboards, and recommending consolidation strategies.

Develop and maintain business intelligence dashboards and reports using BI solutions.
Expertise in Microsoft Stack including SQL Server, SSIS & SSRS, Power BI, Fabric, Excel, SharePoint, and Teams.
Create data models and write queries and code to extract data from various sources, including Dynamics 365 CRM and other cloud-based solutions.
Perform SQL queries - design, code, test, and aggregate the results to create useful information.
Utilize data visualization best practices to create clear and meaningful reports.
Develop and maintain data governance standards and best practices for BI and all reporting.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data sources, data modeling, and report performance.
Stay up to date with the latest BI technologies and functionalities and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's reporting capabilities.

Must-haves to be a Power BI Developer:

Minimum three (3) years of experience in Power BI dataset, dashboard creation and management required.
Experience with Dynamics 365 and interoperability with BI solutions.
Create code to integrate cloud-based solutions and consolidate data for reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience writing technical documentation on BI architecture and reports.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience.
