What You Will Do: + Set up and operate precision test equipment for alignment, troubleshooting and testing of electrical equipment and systems. Possess a working knowledge of standard test equipment, oscilloscopes, ohmmeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc., as well as a working knowledge of custom made test equipment, including automated test equipment. + Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices. + Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. + Troubleshooting and testing of repair units. + Aligns and adjusts advanced electronic components on units being repaired to ensure proper functioning of electronic circuits, utilizing established calibration procedures. + Utilizes SAP and other MRO computer programs. + Participate on project teams. + Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under changing conditions where problem solving skills and judgments are required. + Must be highly-motivated and dedicated to exceeding customer expectations. + Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. + Utilize analytical skills and problem-solving abilities. + Successfully work as a team member supporting work completion in a fast-paced environment. + Conduct written and verbal communication with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO. + Responsible for a moderate level of planning. What YOU Will Learn: + The candidate will gain a better understanding of US Government regulations, including FAA 14 CFR Part 145 + The candidate will be paired with a mentor to better understand the role and gain the knowledge and confidence to be successful. + The candidate will have the opportunity to be involved with projects in different areas of the business. To be eligible for a SkillBridge Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements: + Must be eligible to participate in Fellowship per DoD Instruction 1322.29. + Must be projected to receive an honorable discharge from the military. + Must have all TAP and transition requirements completed prior to the start date. + Must receive approval from Unit Commander or O4+ in the chain of command. + Must be located within a commutable distance or willing/approved to relocate to the job location. Qualifications You Must Have: + Typically requires a HS diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or in the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience. + U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.6 + Must have an electronics background or education with 2+ years complimentary work history in a manufacturing or service environment. + Electronics maintenance industry experience or education required. + Must have prior experience troubleshooting electronics equipment. Qualifications We Prefer: + AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred. + 2+ years experience with aviation electronic equipment repair or manufacturing is preferred. + Experience reviewing CMM/SB documentation. + Electronic maintenance industry experience. + Testing/Troubleshooting experience. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
