Overnight Automotive Technician - Pay up to $40/hour - Amerit Fleet Solutions

Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive Technician! As an Automotive Technician in Greenwood, IN specializing in light and medium-duty fleet vehicles, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and excellence of our fleet maintenance services.

Compensation: $35-$40 per hour, dependent on experience. We pay weekly, every Friday. Potential sign on bonus, up to $2,500. This is an overtime eligible role of time and a half.

Overnight shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 PM - 3:30 AM

What the Automotive Technician role looks like:

· Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer

· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehicles

· Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation required

· Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures

· Inspect and perform work on the under parts of vehicles

· Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance

· Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles

· Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of Mobile Service Truck

· Respond to off-site client requests as needed

· Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary

· Perform other duties as required

What our ideal candidate looks like:

· At least 5 years experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical school

· Must have valid Driver’s License

· CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification

· Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email

· Ability to work without direct supervision

· Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers,

· supervisors, etc.)

· Must be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properly

· Must provide own hand tools & toolbox.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job
• Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise
• Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
• Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
• Ability to move and position heavy objects
• Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
• Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
