Automotive Service Technician - All Levels - Serramonte Ford

Job Description

The Service Technician services and repairs vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures. In addition, he or she may be assigned to conduct pre-delivery service on new vehicles to ensure excellent working order for the customer. We deliver the highest quality service while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, some post-secondary automotive training and at least one year of dealer-level or large facility experience. An unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, a strong technical performance record, and strong physical dexterity and stamina to get the job done are required. He or she must be able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment and must have a positive attitude, professional appearance, great communication skills, and the ability to deliver world class customer service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately and efficiently perform quality repair and maintenance work that meets dealership and manufacturer standards
• Clearly writing and communicating what is wrong with vehicle and the parts and time needed to repair
• Repairing broken or worn mechanical and technology components
• Maintaining repair and service records
• Installing equipment, components, and systems
• Testing vehicles both before and after repair
• Repairing electrical wiring, circuits and fixtures
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Technical or trade school training preferred
• Two plus years of automotive service experience
• Must provide own tools
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to be analytical and multi-task
• Self-motivated enthusiastic presence in a team environment
• Strong written and communication skills
• Consistent and stable work history
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Professional appearance and work ethic
