Description
This specialist will act as the project manager and functional expert responsible for leading the cross functional
team (CFT) for pre-series/series production and reporting to management as the key point of contact for
the functional area. He/she will be required to delegate tasks to cross functional team members, effectively and
clearly communicate project status, manage project risk and monitor the change readiness of the projects.
These cross functional teams consists of members from Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Planning, and
Purchasing. Lead problem resolution activities by coordinating the technical analysis of the product or process,
taking in to account functional requirements, quality, cost and safety/ergo. Tracking of the pre-series/series
build processes in order to analyze production readiness, establish countermeasures, and assign responsibility.
Ensure a smooth transition from analysis to implementation by leading cross functional teams to solve issues
and implement countermeasures on-time. Set direction and standards for the product and/or process to reduce
cost and/or complexity
Ability to lead cross functional organizations and present solutions to upper management
• Technical analysis of engineering changes in preparation for new Projects and Model Changes
• Tracking of pre-series/series issues escalated through the problem resolution process
• Lead root cause analysis of problems
• Prioritizing problems within functional area
• Lead/Coordination of proposals for product/process solutions through development of Business Cases
• Lead cross departmental analysis of pre-series/series processes and improvement of these processes using
technical references and with the use of diagnostic tools and/or CAD software
• Development of proposals for solution of product, quality, and process-related problems in case of
prototyping, including the implementation of short/long term countermeasures, and delegating / assigning to
responsible departments within CFT
• Analyzing of work processes, evaluation and displaying of improvement measures of the manufacturing
quality, cost, ergonomics, environmental sustainability, and operating safety
• Preparation and arrangement of workshops for special topics
• Agreement on proposal for solutions with affected department(s) for implementation
• Responsible for development and sharing lessons learned
• Consideration of environmental, operational safety and ergonomics
• Coordination of engineering changes to ensure smooth implementation
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure success as well as continuous improvement of
the functional area

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00
