EHR Services has partnered with Covaris, LLC to hire an Automation Engineer in Woburn, Massachusetts. This is an on-site position and the candidate must be comfortable commuting to Woburn, MA.

Job Summary:
As a Senior Automation Specialist within the Solutions Group at Covaris, you will play a pivotal role in both internal development and external support of automation solutions tailored for genomics and proteomics workflows. Collaborating closely with engineering and R&D teams, you will spearhead and document the development and optimization of cutting-edge solutions to meet the evolving needs of the life sciences and biotechnology industries. Externally, you will serve as a technical expert, supporting the sales team and assisting customers in implementing and adopting Covaris solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing challenges specific to next-generation sequencing (NGS), comprehensive genomic profiling (CGP), and proteomics workflows, guiding experimental design, and ensuring seamless integration of Covaris technologies into customer workflows. You will lead and document customer-driven projects to aid in integrating Covaris solutions at customer sites within the Covaris Solutions Team framework. Responsibilities:
· Create and deliver customer presentations, onsite and internal technical demonstrations, customer training, and product positioning in person and virtually
· Provide technical expertise and support for the sale and development of automated FFPE extraction and NGS Solutions
· Generate technical literature and content, including application notes, abstracts, and papers to support Covaris automation offerings
· Support customer adoption of Covaris Solutions for automation and applications
· Document and lead projects, including timelines and deliverable tracking
· Lead product positioning for within the Covaris Automation Solutions team
· Assist in the creation of new automation product and service offerings
· Work within a regulated ISO-13485 environment
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's Degree in an engineering, biomedical and/or scientific field
· Experience independently leading customer interactions and training
· 2+ years relevant work experience with automated liquid handler programming, protocol development, and operational experience
· Hamilton VENUS, Dynamic Devices Method Manager, Tecan Fluent Control, and Tecan MapLinx preferred (certificates are a plus)
· Application and Technical Sales Support experience, including product/protocol development
· Presentation and content creation with high-level technical writing skills
· Knowledge of molecular testing techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, NGS library prep and sequencing
· Experience working in a clinical laboratory is preferred
· Experience with Programming Languages: Python, R, C#, and C++ are preferred
· Ability to travel to customer sites and conferences up to 30%
