Automation Project Engineer - The Fountain Group

The Fountain Group is currently seeking an ­­­­­­­­Automation Project Engineer for a prominent client of ours.  This position is located in ­­Houston, TX. Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description:

• $43-$46/HR to start
• 12-month assignment (with potential to extend or convert based on performance and budget).
• Main responsibilities include:
  • Development of (propulsion control and PEMS) system description and developing HW & SW testing procedures
  • Experience in 800XA system, development of PLC programming AC800M and PLC500 with complex sequence of operation
  • Developing/customizing Power and energy management system application to match approved function description.
  • Developing/customizing Propulsion control system, application to match approved function description.
  • Experience of IEC61850 and TCP/IP network Protocols
  • Develop solution based upon system requirements.
  • Follow-up Document handling
  • Automation/SCADA of Energy Management
  • Prepare the requirements to perform FAT.
  • Develop code for HMI and Processes panel.
• Hybrid Role, 3 days onsite

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Must have general automation experience with PLC, SCADA, HMI Coding, DCS, ECS etc.
• Experience with development support of Electric Propulsion Control Systems or similar is highly desired.
