About the Job
Job Description
The Body Shop Repair Planner/Estimator helps ensure the overall efficiency, profitability, and reputation of our auto body shop operations by providing timely, accurate, and repair plans after dissassembly. He or she documents estimates and the necessary repair work according to established industry standards and Oem procedures. The Body Shop Repair Planner/Estimator will also be involved in the shop flow process in order to streamline the repair of vehicles through the shop.
The ideal candidate has some post-secondary education or training and at least one year of experience. However, we are willing to train the right candidate. Candidates must have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record and a strong technical and customer service performance record. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and good computer skills are required. A certification or designation in the field of automotive repair is a plus.

Responsibilities
- Write's Repair plans in collaboration with technicians after vehicle teardowns.
- Oversees delivery of repairs and manages customer expectations
- Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
- Utilize repair processes and P pages effectively in Estimating system
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Maintains work area in a neat and organized manner
- Follows all safety policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education or training preferred
- One year of dealer-level or large facility experience preferred
- Certification or designation in the field of automotive repair a plus
- Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
- Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Highly professional and dependable
- Safety and customer service oriented
- Proficient computer and internet skills
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
- Able to drive both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
