About the Job
The Autism Program Coordinator is responsible for the full care coordination of the Autism patient population in coordination with the Director of the Autism Program and ABA Services. This individual is responsible for the adherence to the standard work established for scheduling patients for multidisciplinary appointments, Autism's psychologists' appointments, and ABA Therapy for the Early Autism Identification program. This individual will also perform administrative duties to support the providers and staff within the program which may include ordering supplies, acting as the Timekeeper and entering paid time off (PTO), arranging meetings, updating templates, assisting with the onboarding, assistance with credentialing and enrollment and coordination of community screeners and referring physician site visits.
- Serves as primary resources in support of the Autism Program.
- All scheduling/rescheduling processes for patients screened and evaluated as part of the Early Autism program and ABA therapy clinic, coordination of diagnostic and therapeutic care among different providers and scheduling multiple provider clinic appointments all, which may include obtaining records from other institutions.
- Actively participates in the Autism multi-disciplinary meetings.
- Oversees the collection of patient and parent questionnaires.
- Maintains oversight and assists with the transition of care/referrals to primary care providers or other services outside of Nemours as requested by the clinical team.
- Assist with the development and coordinates with Marketing for printing development of educational materials to be distributed to patients and families.
- Tracking and maintaining appropriate time records
- Assist the Director of Autism Program and ABA Services with on/off boarding of ABA therapy staff by enrolling new associates training in accordance with Nemours Human Resource policies and procedures as well as assisting with the credentialing and enrollment in Managed Care plans.
- Serve as the Administrative Support in ordering supplies, coordinating meetings, and other administrative support needs.
- Provides performance metrics to the Clinical team and the Florida Service Line Administrator to assist with the development and implementation of corrective action to ensure targets are achieved.
- Responsible for assisting the Florida Service Line Administrator with contract renewals/amendments.
- Participate in monthly financial review to assist with performance metric reporting.
- Provides support and assist with tracking annual CEUs for staff within the program.
- Additional miscellaneous duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned from time to time by employee's supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualified Candidates will:
- High School Diploma required. Associate Degree preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience required.
- Healthcare experience required.
