About the Job
AnyPlace Audiology is seeking an experienced Audiologist to join their team in Temple, TX. The audiologist will assist our patients with hearing issues, disabilities, injuries, and other issues that are causing a loss of hearing. Our audiologist will work with patients of all age groups, assisting veterans and other adult patients. The audiologist will assess patients, set treatment plans, and coordinate care with doctors and physical therapists to assist patients.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and cultivate long-term, effective partnerships with facility clients to gain in-depth knowledge of their current and future needs.
- Perform inner ear assessments on patients.
- Perform tests and assessments to treat patients with a hearing problem or hearing disorder.
- Document and maintain client contact information, situation, and activity
- Review test results with patients. And determine the appropriate treatment plan for patients. Include treatment plans that coincide with their insurance.
- Consult with and educate clients. Assist in negotiating contract terms (i.e. bill rates, other language) with client contacts and prepare new client contracts.
- Council families of patients. Assisting with patients who have hearing disabilities. This may include using technology or learning sign language, or lip reading.
- Ensure all Event operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
- Fit hearing aids to clients and ensure that hearing aids are comfortable, functional, and in working order before the patients leaves the health clinic.
- Use audiometers, computers, and other medical devices to test patients’ hearing ability and balance. Determine the extent of any hearing damage and perform tests to identity the underlying cause of the health issue.
- Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee warehouse efficiency
- Help the organization’s processes remain legally compliant
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability
- Manage budgets and forecasts
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Train and supervise staff
- Contracts team to achieve divisional profit margin expectations and minimize risk
- Represent a central point of contact between facility client, recruiter, and clinical liaison to effectively manage behavioral or performance challenges and preserve the client relationship
- Formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree, Master’s Degree, and Ph.D. in Audiology, Healthcare Science, or Communication Sciences.
- Licensed Audiologist
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience as an Audiologist
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, and clinical staff as well as outside referral sources.
- Ideal candidate will have experience with Adult Hearing Loss Populations including veteran and/or active military population.
- Must be knowledgeable of VA comprehensive & pension exams along with working with TriWest, Humana Military, QTC, VES, LHI, BCBS, United Healthcare, Cigna, etc. Understand fitting hearing aids to adult populations.
