This role is 6 month contract to hire onsite role.

Typical responsibilities:
- Handle Pre/Post AV Desings.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Prefer someone that's able and willing to do field testing, commissioning, and configure subsystems during project deployment.
- Assist Account Managers with labor and material estimates for projects.
- Oversee and/or develop the Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting documentation.

- Proficient in business computer applications, Microsoft Office Professional, SharePoint and ACT to name a few.
- Proficiency in business computer applications, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite.

Design Engineer Summary of requirements:
- Experience designing systems featuring AMX, Crestron, Media Matrix, and Nion. Proficiency in design for commercial digital media, IT infrastructure preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD to draft own documents.
- Certifications on Q-SYS, MediaMatrix, SoundWeb, Extron, Crestron, AMX, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, CTS, CTS-D, EASE, SMAART, DANTE, Polycom, and Tandberg a definite plus.
- Provide detailed and pro-active Design Engineering for audio, video, digital media, infrastructure, IT, and control systems on assigned projects.
- Provide AutoCAD drawings in compliance with company CAD Standard specifications.
- Determine technical requirements, draft technical overviews and specifications, and research products and obtain favorable pricing for assigned projects.
- Must be proficient at meeting and communicating with clients, research, evaluations, and seeking recommendations.
- Create detailed technical and equipment budgets and spreadsheets according to company standards in order to meet project requirements.
- Initiate and maintain proper design direction and meet scheduled deliverables per the needs of projects. Must be proficient at managing draftsmen, fabricators, and others on projects to maintain the design intent and superior quality.
- Provide A/V design support as appropriate to other members of the company to help ensure successful design, integration, training, and closeout of projects.
- Provide support to the Sales Department including, but not limited to, the creation of technical system order of magnitude cost estimates and proposed equipment lists and all written technical overview documentation to company standards.
- For each design provide deliverables including, but not limited to sound pressure level estimates, grounding details, cable requirements, equipment room layouts, power requirements, heat load data, single line flow diagrams, rack elevations, patch bay elevations (as needed), custom panel details, speaker mounting details, projector mounting details and geometry (as needed), and any other project specific deliverables as required. All documents will follow the company standards and practices outlined in the company Project Management Manual.
- Travel as required for field engineering, meetings, site supervision, commissioning, final test and adjust.
- Work with Project Manager to create system narratives used to define and detail A/V/C systems and their objectives.
- Configure Digital Signal Processing files for assigned projects.
- Must complete all required documentation to company policy and procedure. Must be able to keep thorough records and documentation for all projects.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Supervisor.
