Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition, Month-end close, Financial Reports
- Budget preparation and financial forecasting, variance analysis, and preparing business activity reports, financial position forecasts, and annual budgets
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
- Manage loan entries, loan origination, amortization schedules, waterfall schedules, and interest calculations
- Review financial statements to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulatory standards
- Analyze and reconcile complex accounts, identify and resolve discrepancies
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to gather financial data and provide insights for strategic decision-making
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related area of study
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Legal industry experience preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including experience with creating financial statements
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team
