About the Job
A nationally-recognized business law firm serving government contractors and commercial businesses is seeking an accomplished attorney to join its Business & Transactions practice group in their DC office. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and a minimum of 8 years of experience in complex mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and/or other business and commercial transactions. The candidate hired will be trusted to represent our clients throughout the business cycle, from entity formation to shareholder agreements, employee incentive plans, and purchase and sale transactions. This is a great opportunity to lead a team of awarded emerging associates with a highly regarded law firm.
Qualifications:
- Experience leading mergers & acquisitions transactions, drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, financing agreements, and coordinating due diligence and closings
- Experience managing a team of associates and staff
- Experience with entity formation and structuring, limited liability company agreements, shareholders agreements, partnership agreements, employee incentive plans, and commercial lending transactions
- Detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple priorities, delegate efficiently, and meet deadlines
- Exceptional client communication and guidance throughout mergers and acquisitions, start-ups, and venture capital projects
- M&A and Corporate experience with government contractors and managing teams of in-house and outside counsel is preferred
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to practice in or eligible for prompt admission into the District of Columbia
